Can I get my child evaluated virtually from Tokyo?

Yes. The whole evaluation happens over secure video, and you stay in Tokyo the entire time.

Families reach out from Tokyo for one of two reasons: the school has asked for documentation, or a parent has been watching something at home and wants a clear answer. Either is a fine reason to start.

Here is how it actually runs. We schedule a short intake call, then a sequence of video sessions with the psychologist. For younger children, a parent sits nearby. For older kids and teens, they meet with the clinician directly. Most families finish the assessment portion in one to two weeks, and the written report follows within about a week after that.

What we evaluate

ADHD, autism, broader neuropsychological profiles, and general psychological concerns (anxiety, mood, learning differences). If you are not sure which one fits, the free 15-minute consultation is the right place to sort that out.

Scheduling from Japan

Appointments run during daytime hours in your local time. Tokyo sits in a compatible Asia-Pacific time zone with the rest of our service area, so we can usually offer weekday morning or afternoon slots that fit around school.

Languages and insurance

Sessions are available in English, Spanish, or Korean. We accept international insurance plans common to expatriate families in Japan — we will tell you up front whether yours covers the assessment.
